The Government of Alberta has announced that the second intake of the Alberta Jobs Now Program is now open. According to the Government of Alberta, this program “provides funding for eligible employers to subsidize wages, fund training or a combination of both, for new hires… offers a wage subsidy or training subsidy of 25%, up to $25,000 for each employee, for up to 10 new hires. Employers who hire persons with disabilities will receive a grant 1.5 times higher than the amount they would receive for other employees”. The grant will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until all funds are released.
