Just Released: CCVO’s Report on COVID-19 Impacts and Opportunities
This week CCVO released their newest report, From Emergency to Opportunity: Building a Resilient Alberta Nonprofit Sector After COVID-19.
Compiling the results from our 2020 Alberta Nonprofit Survey as well as data from organizations across the country, this report addresses the numerous, detrimental impacts of COVID-19 on the nonprofit sector and the subsequent consequences for communities in Alberta. In support of organizations in their emergency planning efforts, the report also includes pertinent resources and tools focused on emergency planning and preparation for nonprofits to ensure business continuity.
From Emergency to Opportunity provides the foundation for a new conversation about a collective community prosperity strategy, including specific recommendations for the private sector, government, and funders to support recovery in partnership with the nonprofit sector.
CCVO thanks those who contributed to and shared important sector data and experiences, helping to support the sector on its road to recovery.
Karen Ball, CCVO Interim President & CEO, speaks to the new report in this brief presentation, which reviews the impacts of COVID-19 on the nonprofit sector, as well as the consequences and opportunities emerging from these impacts.
