Freedom to Care Act: Bill Passed on Division

On June 16, the Government of Alberta passed the Freedom to Care Act on division. The Act will come into effect on September 1, 2021.

CCVO has previously shared some reflections on the Act here and here on the implications of the Freedom to Care Act for the nonprofit sector, and we will continue to work with government to ensure that those most vulnerable, and those who support them, will continue to be protected under this bill.
